The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball team traveled to Shadow Hills yesterday and lost in 3 hard fought sets. Coach Missy Bond said The Ladycats were led by junior Tatiyanna Mackall with seven kills, five blocks, and two assists. Juniorr Mara Mapuatuli had three kills, one block, and two assists. Senior Allix Durrum had two kills, one ace serve, and two assists. Sophomore Lindsey Scamman had one kill and three blocks for the night. Sophomore Hope Culver played some fantastic defense. She had numerous hard hit digs. The Ladycats are now 4-4 in league play.
The Yucca Valley High School girls tennis team beat Desert Mirage Monday 17-1. Coach Cindy Miller said in singles Carrie Scofield and Katie Brattain went 3-0, Liviya Osborn went 1-0. In doubles Dawn Rich and Moriah Goddard 3-0, Aslinn Gueltzow and Miranda Green 3-0, Nikole Cody and Alli Koedel 3-0. The team is now 10-0.
The Twentynine Palms Lady Wildcats tennis team solidified their third place standing with an 11-7 victory over the Shadow Hills Knights yesterday. The singles dominated the day winning all nine sets in a row. Senior Cortni Rahn and Junior Lexi Wade turned in a solid 3 set sweeps for the day. The Wildcats are now 6 and 4 in the DAL with two games left in the season.
Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School volleyball and tennis teams will host the Shadow Hill Knights at home. Tennis starts at 3:15; volleyball at 4:30.
