The Yucca Valley High School girls’ varsity tennis team beat Big Bear 14-4 Thursday. Stand-outs in singles were Carrie Scofield and Katie Brattain who won in 3 sets; April Bratcher who won two sets. In doubles were Moriah Goddard and Dawn Rich, Aislinn Gueltzow and Miranda Green, and Nichole Cody and Ally Koedel who all won in two sets. The girls are now 2-0 in league play. Next up will be Desert Hot Springs on Tuesday at Desert Hot Springs.
In high school sports tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat volleyball team will travel away to play Banning High School. The match begins at 4:30.
