HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS; SCORES AND SCHEDULES

The Twentynine Palms High School Lady ’Cats Volleyball team lost to the Lions in three sets Wednesday. Coach Missy Franz said the team was lead by sophomore Tatiyanna Mackall with four kills and two blocks. Senior Hanna Beard and junior Courtney Stanford had three kills each. Koko Caberera had eight assists for the night and played tough defense. The lady cats are 2-1.

The Morongo Basin’s three high school football teams are all playing at home tonight. The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats will host Arrowhead Christian Academy from Redlands; the Yucca Valley High School Trojans will host the Indio Rajahs; and the Joshua Springs Lightning will host the Lancaster Baptist Eagles. All games start at 7 p.m.

In high school sports tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms volleyball team will participate in a tournament in Hemet. The Wildcat cross-country team will participate in the Grant Nunnally Invitational meet. The Joshua Springs volleyball team will participate in the Rock the Dome tournament at home, starting at 8 a.m. And the Yucca Valley cross-country team will take part in the Fastback Invitational meet.
