The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan basketball team got back in the win column last night with a 49-37 win at Big Bear in a De Anza league contest last night. Coach Jess Geeson said the girls were led by senior Ashley Priest with 21 points and senior Celeste Reyes with 12 points. With the win the team moves to 6-1 in league and 16-5 overall with a home game against Shadow Hills on Tuesday.
The Yucca Valley High School girls’ soccer team traveled to Big Bear to take on the Lady Bears in De Anza League play. Girls’ varsity soccer Coach Scott Phillips said the Lady Trojans played hard but fell by a score of 3-0. Senior Karson Scaccianoce played really well for the Lady Trojans, Phillips said. Next up for the Lady Trojans will be a home game against Shadow Hills High School on Tuesday. The game starts at 3:15 p.m. The boys’ game will follow at 5 p.m.
