HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS: SCORES AND SCHEDULES

The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat boys’ basketball team took part in the Martin Luther King showcase tournament at Los Osos Monday. Coach Michael Schneider said Charter Oak High School proved to be formidable, with less than four minutes to go, the Wildcats were down by 10 points and started clawing their way back into the game. They went on a 15 to 3 run to win the game by a score of 53 to 51. D’Shaun Barrett led the way with 18 points, Jimmy Shragge added 11 and Richie Soriano had seven.

In high school sports today, Yucca Valley High School and Twentynine Palms High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will play each other in Twentynine Palms. The girls start at 6; the boys at 7:30.

The Joshua Springs boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will travel away to play Mesa Grande Academy. The boys’ game starts at 6:30 p.m.

In high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School wrestling team will host Shadow Hills High School at home. The meet begins at 5 p.m.
