The Yucca Valley High School girls’ soccer team hosted Rancho Mirage in De Anza League play Thursday. It was an exciting, high scoring game with a 5-5 tie. Sophomore Alexia Missett continued her dominant play with four goals and one assist. Freshman Jackie Bolha recorded one goal and one assist. And senior Jennifer Luersen added an assist.
Thursday night, the junior varsity Twentynine Palms High School Lady ’Cats battled the Desert Mirage Rams. The Lady Cats ended with a 2-3 game. Abigail Vega and Malisa Vazquez scored the two goals. Vega assisted Vazquez, getting the goal. The JV Lady Cats played aggressive and smart on the field.
In high school sports today, the Yucca Valley High School boys’ basketball team will host Sultana High School at home. Tip-off is at 6:30 p.m.
