The Yucca Valley High School girls’ soccer team traveled to Desert Hot Springs Tuesday to play a league game. Coach Scott Phillips said the Lady Trojans faced horrible weather conditions but fought hard, losing a close game 4-2. Sophomore Alexia Missett scored both goals for the Lady Trojans. Freshmen Liana Jimenez and Linnea Hildebrand had the assists.
In high school sports today, the Yucca Valley boys’ and girls’ basketball teams play Rancho Mirage High School at home. Tip-off is at 6 for the girls; 7:30 for the boys.
The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams host Desert Mirage High School at home. The girls start at 6; the boys at 7:30.
