The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojans volleyball team hosted Coachella Valley High School in their first league match yesterday. Varsity won in four sets. The junior varsity played hard, but lost in three sets.
The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball team lost in four sets to the Banning Broncos. The Ladycats travel to Coachella on Wednesday to take on the Arabs.
The Twentynine Palms High School junior varsity team also lost to Banning High School.
Coach Missy Bond said the Ladycats were led by freshman Meleane Taule with 8 kills. Junior Riley King had five kills. Senior Lea Speer had two kills and three ace serves. Junior Amanda Mohn had five ace serves. Senior Gabby Mackall had two kills and 10 assists for the night.
In high school sports today, the Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojans Volleyball team will be at home against Banning High School.
The Twentynine Palms High School girl’s tennis team will travel away to play San Jacinto High School. First serve is at 3:15 p.m.
