The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan volleyball team beat the Indio Rajahs in three sets, 25-14, 25-17, and 25-17, yesterday. Coach Darrell Sterling said outside hitter EJ Day led with 12 kills, three blocks and 23 assists; setter Alessa Luckino had 34 assists; middle blocker Zena Yakimow had six service aces, four solo blocks, one shared block and one kill; and Libero Becca Dumas had 18 digs.
Coming up in high school sports today, the Twentynine Palms High School volleyball and tennis teams will host San Jacinto High School at home. Tennis begins at 3:15; volleyball at 4:45.
