The Yucca Valley High School wrestling team narrowly missed beating Rancho Mirage High wrestling by two matches last night. Coach Larry Giron Several Trojans scored big wins for the team, with Julian Henretty and Aaron Alexander winning their matches with the quickest pins of the night. Damian Vasquez, Trevor Scott, and Andrew Reyes also scored big pins for the Trojans.
In high school sports, today, the Twentynine Palms High School boys’ soccer team will travel away to play Banning High School. The match starts at 5 p.m.
The Joshua Springs Christian boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will travel away to Calimesa to play Mesa Grande Academy. The girls’ game starts at 5 p.m., the boys’ at 6:30.
The Twentynine Palms High School girls’ soccer team will host Banning High School at home, starting at 5 p.m.
