HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS SCORES AND SCHEDULE

The Yucca valley high School Lady Trojans Volleyball team lost last night to the Rancho Mirage Rattlers. Coach Darrell Sterling said even though they were missing The Starting Libero Becca Dumas the lady Trojans fought hard. Leading the way in kills was E.J. Day with 16 kills on 22 attempts 12 digs, 4 solo blocks,4 assists, 19 serves 5 aces and 13 pts from serves. Julia Conrad helped with 11 kills on 24 attempts, 3 solo blocks 2 assists, 13 serves 3 aces and 6 points from serves. Senior setter Becky Messaros had 2 kills on 6 attempts, 7 digs, 19 assists and 9 points from serves and 2 blocks.
Yesterday the Twentynine Palms High School Lady Cats Volleyball squad traveled to Thermal to take on the Rams from Desert Mirage.  The Lady cats won in 3 sets. Coach Missy Bind said They were lead by senior Tatiyanna Mackall with 9 kills 4 blocks and 3 ace serves.  Jr Lindsey Scamman had 8 kills and 2 blocks.  Jr Cheryl Jensen had 4 kills and 2 assists.  Sr Makya Bullion had 3 kills 1 ace serve and 2 assists.  Juniors Hope Culver and Vaitupu Melei combined for 11 ace serves.  Soph Gabby Mackall had 3 aces and 18 assists for the night. The Lady cats are now 2-2 in league play.
In high school sports today, the Yucca Valley High School girls’ tennis team will travel to Big Bear to play the Big Bear Bears. The match starts at 3:15 p.m.
And in high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School volleyball and tennis teams will travel to Thermal to play Desert Mirage High School. Both matches start at 3:15 p.m.
Also tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School Lady cat volleyball and tennis teams will host Coachella Valley High School at home. Tennis starts at 3:15 p.m.; volleyball starts at 5 p.m.
