HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS SCORES

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball team traveled to Big Bear yesterday and lost in three sets. Coach Missy Bond said the Ladycats were led by sophomore Lindsey Scamman, who had four kills, one ace serve, and one block, and junior Mara Mapuatuli four kills and two blocks. Senior Allix Durrum had three kills, and senior Courtney Stanford and junior Tatiyanna Mackall had two kills a piece. The Ladycats are now 1-2 in league.

The Twentynine Palms High School Lady Wildcat tennis team journeyed up the hill to take on Big Bear Bears, and came back with a 12-6 victory. Coach Joe Ingram said leading the way for the Wildcat were senior singles Alex Morrissey and Cortni Rahn, who both swept the opposition 3-0. In doubles, the Wildcats were 2-1 across the board, with an outstanding effort put in by Danny Morrissey and Sherolyn Alconada, who went 7-5, 6-0, and 5-7. The Wildcats are now 2-2 in league and 5-4 overall.
