In a nail biter the 29 Palms High School Wildcat Golf Team won their league opener 251-259 against Shadow Hills High School yesterday at home. Coach Grant Whipple said the team was led by the strong play of Brandon Steffins shooting a blistering 4 under 32, Justin Delarosa 48 and Hayden Shupp 53. The cats will travel to Apple Valley today in a non-league match.

29 Palms High School Boys Varsity tennis suffered a tough loss Monday in a non-conference match against a very skilled team of Cathedral City with a score of 5-13.  Coach William Shay said The Wildcats were led by Jarod Burks winning two of his singles matches.  In doubles action, the Wildcats were led by Marquis Tarver and Justin Ornelaz-Perez winning their first set of the season.
