The Yucca Valley High School Varsity Basketball team beat Coachella Valley Friday 88 to 64. Standouts were: Trenton Pecaro, with 20 points; Lawrence Mays, with 18 points; Ja Shawn White, 17 points; Thomas Geiger, with 15 points. The JV boys lost 35-79.
Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School boys’ and girls’ soccer teams will host Imperial High School at home. The boys’ game starts at 3:15; the girls at 5 p.m.
The Yucca Valley High School Trojan wrestling team will host the Triple Dual wrestling meet at home tomorrow, starting at 5 p.m.
The Joshua Springs girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will host Desert Hot Springs at home; the girls start at 5, the boys at 6:30.
