HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS: SCORE AND SCHEDULES

The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat boys’ tennis team traveled to Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage yesterday to compete in their last per-season match-up against Marywood Palm-Valley Firebirds. The Wildcats defeated the Firebirds, 13 sets to 5. Coach Larry Battle said Brian Gaddis, a new player to the team and the sport of tennis, came off the bench cold and played with a new doubles partner and won his first set 6-3.

Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat baseball and softball teams will travel away to Desert Hot Springs to play the Golden Eagles. First pitch for both games is at 3:30.

The Joshua Springs Lightning baseball and softball teams also play tomorrow. They will host San Jacinto Valley Academy at home, with both games starting at 3:15.
