HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS: SCHOOLS AND SCHEDULES

Yesterday the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats Boys Tennis Team hosted Marywood Palm-Valley Firebirds in a pre-season match-up. After three rounds of competition, the score ended up in a 9-9 tie and had to be determined by counting games won by each singles player and each doubles team. The Wildcats lost by one game, 68-69. Coach Larry Battle said team stand-outs for the ‘Cats were the number one doubles team, Bradley Linkey and partner Jerek Silvas, winning all three sets.

Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat baseball teams will host Cathedral City at home, while the softball team will travel away to Cathedral City High School. First pitch for both games is at 3:15.
