Tonight, is the second annual “Battle of the Ball” basketball game between the Yucca Valley High School Trojans and the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats. The “Battle of the Ball” is being sponsored by the Morongo Basin Rotary Clubs at the spectacular Bell Center Gymnasium at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree. Beginning with boys’ varsity at 5 p.m., followed by a special exhibition game at 6:30 p.m. and girls’ varsity at 7 p.m. in The Bell Center at Copper Mountain College. Admission to the event is $5 for general admission, $3 for seniors, kids 12 and under, and visitors with ASB. Twentynine Palms High School students with ASB are free.
Also coming up in high school sports today, the Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms boys’ and girls’ soccer teams will play each other. The boys will play in Yucca Valley; the girls will play in Twentynine Palms. Both games start at 5 p.m.
