In high school sports today, the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat football team plays its homecoming game tonight against Desert Mirage High School. Kick-off is at 7 p.m. Because of the smoke from the fires in Coachella, all the schools are closed, so the junior varsity game will not be played, only the varsity game. All other homecoming events will go on as scheduled.
