HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS RESULTS AND SCHEDULES

On Wednesday, the Twentynine Palms girls’ basketball team raised its record to 12 and 4 overall and 1 and 0 in league with its win over Shadow Hills, 64 to 23. Paige Rossi and Andraliah Lee led all scorers, each scoring 14 points. Tusia Brown had 12 points and Cherokee Turner scored 10 points.
The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ varsity basketball team started their De Anza league play on the road against the Knights of Shadow Hills. It was a defensive battle the whole way, and the Wildcats lost by nine points, 53 -44. Andrew Wilson was the leading scorer with 13 points and 8 rebounds; Alex Chavez had 10 points, 8 rebounds, and Javier Soriano had 10 points.
Also on Wednesday, the Twentynine Palms High School boys’ soccer team lost to Shadow Hills 4-to-0.

In high school sports today, the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat soccer and basketball teams will play Desert Mirage High School. The Lady Cats will travel to Thermal with their game starting at 5 p.m. The Desert Mirage Rams will travel to Twentynine Palms for the boys’ soccer match, and boys’ and girls’ basketball. Soccer starts at 5; girls’ basketball at 6; and boys’ basketball at 7:30.

The Yucca Valley High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will travel away to Desert Hot Springs to play the Golden Eagles. The girls’ game starts at 6 p.m., tip-off for the boys is at 7:30.

In high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School Trojan wrestling team will be in the second day of the West Covina Tournament, with the first match at 8 a.m.
