The Twentynine Palms High School LadyCats lost to the San Jacinto Tigers in four sets: 25-21, 20-25,21-25 and 15-25. The Ladycats were led by junior Tatiyanna Mackall with 10 kills, five blocks and one ace serve. Sophomore Lindsey Scammon had five kills and two blocks and Latasia Benevente had four kills and two ace serves. Senior Courtney Stanford had two kills and 17 assists and Senior Allix Durrum had three kills and three assists. Sophomore Hope Culver and senior Gabby Salcido played tough defense for the Ladycats. The Ladycats are 2-1.
It was an exciting Tuesday afternoon for the Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojans, with the junior varsity volleyball team going three sets to win the match agianst the Indio Rajahs. Emily Griffith led in serves bringing in 12 points and Julia conrad with 4 aces. Riley Vallo led the offense with 10 attacks and Zena Yakimow with 6 kills and 5 blocks assisted by our setters Becca Dumas and Alessa Luckino. The defensive team of Jackie Bolha and Brooke Torgeson beat down the Rajahs attacks, great team work by all.
The varsity Trojan Volleyball had the crowd on the edge of their seats, going five sets to win the match! Emily Vigrass led the way with 10 kills and 15 blocks followed by Ashley Schwartz with seven kills and one block. Jade Adair had 12 assists and two kills of her own and our Libero Chloe Smith was always on he toes with 79 digs and her own kill. Special mention to Joelle Hazher with 10 service points and Natalie Cressy with seven service points.
The Twentynine Palms Lady Wildcat Tennis team lost a tough match Tuesday against San Jacinto High School. Coach Joe Ingram said the team “got crushed,” with a score of 4 to 14. Singles struggled to get two wins, with Lexi Wade winning one set (6-0) and Alex Morrissey winning the other (6-3). In doubles, Brianna Sears and Marissa Thomas got two wins. (7-5 and 6-4).

In high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School Trojan girls’ tennis team will host the Twentynine Palms High School LadyCats in Yucca Valley. The match begins at 3:15 p.m.
The Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat volleyball team will host La Quinta High School at home. First serve is at 4:30 p.m.
The Joshua Spring Lightning volleyball team will travel away to play the Academy of Academic Excellence. First serve is at 5:30 p.m.
