The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojans volleyball team visited the Banning Broncos in their ninth league match yesterday. Coach Darrell Sterling said varsity played a very challenging five sets to win. The junior varsity played very hard and came very close to winning, but lost in three sets.
The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball team played hard but came up short against the Arabs in three sets. Coach Missy Bond said the Ladycats were led by senior Alaina Thomas with six kills. Senior Lea Speer had five kills and one block. Junior Amanda Mohn had four ace serves and four kills. Freshman Meleane Taufa four kills and two ace serves. Senior Gabby Mackall had three kills and 15 assists.
