In high school sports, the Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojans volleyball team hosted the Banning Broncos in their second league match. Coach Darrell Sterling said varsity played a hard match and won in five sets. The junior varsity played hard and lost in two sets.
EJ Day was the stand out player tonight hitting outside, back row, and digging balls.
The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball squad lost to the Arabs in three sets.
Coach Missy Bond said Meleane Taule lead the hitters with four kills and one ace serve. Amanda Mohn had three kills and one ace serve. Riley King had two kills and an ace serve. Jhordon Stanley and Gabby Mackall had two kills each. Mackall lead the team with six assists and an ace serve.
