HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS RESULTS

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball traveled to Desert Christian and won yesterday. Coach Missy Franz said the team was lead by seniors Tusia Brown with 14 kills and two blocks followed by senior Cherokee Turner with 10 kills and two blocks. Freshman Tatiana Mackall had eight kills and three blocks, while sophomore Latasia Benevente added five kills. Junior Koko Cabrera had 31 assists two kills and one ace serve.

Yesterday, the Twentynine Palms high school girls’ tennis team defeated Yucca Valley by a score of 13-5, in the De Anza League season opener. Sophomore Tassia Lucas was undefeated in singles, winning all three sets. In doubles action, the number one ranked team of Heather Lebeda and Becky Raines won all three sets, so too did the number two doubles team of Arin Tripp and Heather Centner. The Lady Tennis Wildcats are now 3 and 3 for the season and travel to Desert Hot Springs next Tuesday.
