The Yucca Valley High School baseball teams won their league opener at Desert Hot springs yesterday. Varsity won 11-6; JV won 10-1.
The Twentynine Palms High School Lady Wildcats softball team took on the Big Bear Bears Tuesday afternoon. The Wildcats came away with 3-to-0 win. Their season record is now 5-1.
The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan varsity softball team secured its first win of the season against Desert Hot Springs with a score of 24-0.
In a perfect game, the girls performed without errors. Senior Jacqueline Bolha started the game off with a line drive to left field, bringing herself and three others in to score. Junior pitcher Haley Smith allowed neither runs nor hits, striking out 10 without any walks.
The Twentynine Palms High School boys varsity tennis team hosted the Rams of Desert Mirage on Monday. The Wildcats came away with a 14-to 4 win.
In singles action, the Wildcats were led by Ben Pressnall and Brett Hope, who each swept all three of their sets, while David Horbal won one of his sets.
In doubles action, the Wildcats were led by the teams of Sean Sears/Mac Miller and Dylan Smith/Donald Albers, who both swept all three of their sets, while the team of Gabe Rangel/Johnathan Simmons won one of their sets.
