The Yucca Valley High School Trojan baseball team traveled to Shadow Hills Friday to play their last league game. Coach Brian Schoenborn said the Knights put up three runs in the first inning. The Trojans managed one run in the third inning, with sacrifice bunts by junior Dovian Delgado and freshman Anthony Gutierrez, and an RBI single by junior Colden McGarvie. The Trojans scored two more in the seventh, with an RBI single by junior Luis Estrada, but it wasn’t enough; the final score was 5-3. McGarvie pitched a complete game striking out four with no walks.
The junior varsity lost 5-1.

The Trojans own third place in the DeAnza League and await their CIF pairing for post-season play next week.
