Twentynine Palms’ track and field team attended the Ramona Distance Invitational Friday. Coach Ronda Morton said the team fared well in the non-team scoring event. In the 1600 meters, Kamaljot Singh ran 4:55, River Smith ran 5:10, and Garrett Schrepfer ran 4:51, all personal records. Cyrus Clarke ran his first 800 meters in 2:20, and Alyssa Robinson also ran a personal record in the 800 meters and earned first place. Junior Garrett Schrepfer was named Wildcat of the Week and freshman Alyssa Robinson was named Lady Wildcat of the Week.

In high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School baseball and softball teams will play Twentynine Palms High School at home. First pitch is at 3:30.

Also tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School swim team will travel to Shadow Hills High School in Indio for the De Anza League finals. The meet begins at 1 p.m.
