The Yucca Valley High School girls’ varsity tennis team beat Desert Hot Springs, 16-2. Coach Cindy Miller said, “This was a great win after a loss last week.” The team is now 8-3 in league.

In singles, Katie Brattain again swept her opponent, 6-2, 6-0, 6-0; Elizabeth Anderson also won all three sets, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0; Eden Ricketts won two sets, 6-3, 6-1.

In doubles, Mckenzi Monical and Rylie Rohr won, 6-3, 6-0, 6-2; Jade Arnhold and Orion Ricketts also won three sets, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0; and Alex Costa and Gisele Julian won two sets, 6-4, 6-0.

The Twentynine Palms High School varsity girls’ tennis team hosted the Rajahs of Indio on Tuesday. The Ladycats lost 6 to 12. Coach Bill Shay said the Ladycats are 7-and-3 in league and 10-and-4 overall. 

In high school sports today, the Twentynine Palms High School volleyball team will host Yucca Valley High School at home. The rivalry match starts at 4:30 p.m.
