In high school sports, the Yucca Valley High School girls’ varsity tennis team beat Twentynine Palms yesterday, 10-8. Girls’ varsity tennis Coach Cindy Miller said outstanding players in doubles were Aimee Frank and Cionne Lonergan; Dawn Rich and Moriah Goddard; and Christa Jenkins and Aislinn Gueltzow. In singles, Carrie Scofield and Rachel Green won.
Twentynine Palms High School Tennis Coach Joe Ingram said his standout was in singles action senior Jasmine Smith, who won all three sets.
