The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycat volleyball team traveled to Yucca Valley High School and lost to the Trojans in three sets.
The junior varsity team beat Yucca Valley in two sets.
Coach Missy Bond said the Ladycats were led by Senior Lindsey Scamman with nine kills and one block. Junior Lea Speer had five kills and senior Cheryl Jensen had three kills and two ace serves. Junior Gabby Mackall had two kills, one ace serve, one block and 14 assists. Nicole Elmer added two kills for the night.
In tennis, the Ladycats of Twentynine Palms defeated the Trojans of Yucca Valley 10 to 8. In singles action, the Ladycats were led by Alicia Gilchrist, Tamesha Jefferson, and Shaelita Chestnut, who each won two sets. In doubles action, the Ladycats were led by the teams of Danny Morrissey/Alexis Soster and Saniyah Solwazi/Rosalind Carrllo, who both won two sets. The Ladycats improve to 6 and 1 in conference play. The Ladycats host the Rattlers of Rancho Mirage High School on Thursday.
