Also tonight, the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcats will host the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles at home. Kick-off for both games is at 7 p.m.

The Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojan volleyball team beat the Deesrt Mirage Rams in three sets last night.

The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball team traveled to Coachella Valley High School in Thermal and lost in three sets.
The Ladycats were led by Senior Cheryl Jensen with six kills. Senior Lindsey Scamman had five kills and five blocks. Junior Lea Speer had four Kills. Junior Nicole Elmer had two kills and one block. Junior Gabby Mackall had one kill and 18 assists. The Ladycats travel to Indio to play in the Indio/Shadow Hills Tournament on Saturday. Wildcat of the Week is Hope Culver.

The Yucca Valley High School girls’ varsity tennis team beat Desert Mirage High School 11-7. Coach Cindy Miller said with Katie Brattain out due to illness, the rest of the team stepped up to get this victory. The team is now 3-3 in league.

In singles, Elizabeth Anderson 2-6, 6-0, 6-0; Dejia Valeur 3-6,6-0 (the Desert Mirage team defaulted on this match due to injury, 6-4); Carly Belmontes 0-6, 2-6, 6-7 (4-7). In doubles, Savannah Beasley and Kloee Sacaccianoce 6-1, 6-0, 6-0; April Bratcher and McKenzi Monical 4-6, 6-1, 6-0; Montana Rowe and Alyssa Synder 5-7, 6-2, 6-0.

Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms girls’ volleyball team will participate in the Shadow Hills High School tournament in Indio.
