The Lady Trojans Volleyball squad beat Desert Hot Springs in three sets last night. Coach Darrell Sterling said, “We played at our speed, passing the ball to our setters who were running our systems. The girls ran the plays they’ve been working hard on in practice and executed them well. I’m proud to be their coach.”
 
The Twentynine Palms High School Volleyball Ladycats traveled to Rancho Mirage yesterday and lost in four sets. Coach Missy Bond said The Ladycats were led by Senior Lindsey Scamman with seven kills, seven blocks, and one assist. 
 
Junior Lea Speer had four kills and two ace serves. Senior Cheryl Jensen had four kills and one ace serve. Junior Gabby Mackall had two kills, one block, and 14 assists. Senior Hope Culver continued to play strong defense in the back court. 
 
The Ladycats Travel to Desert Hot Springs on Thursday. The Ladycats JV team won both sets. 
 
The Yucca Valley High School girls Varsity Tennis Team beat Desert Hot Springs 13-5. Coach Cindy Miller said, “This was a great team win; all the girls are playing really well. Things we are working on in practice are paying off in the games.” The team is now 1-1 in league. Up next will be Coachella Valley on Thursday at home. Start time will be 3:15 p.m.
 
In singles, Katie Brattain 6-1, 6-0, 6-0 Elizabeth Anderson 6-7 (10-12), 6-2, 6-3, and Carly Belmontes 0-6, 4-6, 0-6. In doubles, Savannah Beasley and Kloee Scacclanoce 6-0, 6-0, 6-0; April Bratcher, and Mckenzi Monical 7-6(7-3), 6-1, 6-1; Alex Costa and Dejia Valeur 4-6, Montana Rowe and Alex Costa 6-3; Montana Rowe and Alyssa Synder 7-5.
