In Volleyball action. The Lady Trojans of Yucca valley Beat the Lady Cats of Twentynine Palms in three sets. Coach Darrell Sterling said Senior setter Alessa Luckino spread the ball to all her hitters giving everyone the opportunity for quality kills. Middle blocker Zena Yakimow served 12 in a row along with kills and blocks. Twentynine Palms Coach Missy Bond said her Ladycats were led by Senior Lindsey Scamman with five kills and three blocks. Junior Gabby Mackall had three kills, one block and 10 assists.
Senior Cheryl Jenson had three kills and one ace serve. Senior Samantha Bauer had two ace serves. Senior Hope Culver played some super defense.
The Yucca Valley High School Tennis team played at Twentynine Palms. Yucca Valley Coach Cindy Miller said It was a good match between both schools. The final score was Twentynine Palms 11 and Yucca Valley 7.

In singles action, the Ladycats were led by Alicia Gilchrist, Tamesha Jefferson, and Shaelita Chestnut all winning two of their sets. In double action the Ladycats were led by the teams of Danny Morrissey/Alexis Soster and Saniyah Solwazi/Rosalind Carrllo both winning two of their sets while the team of Emma Romano and Bella Crank won one of their sets.
In high school sports today, the Yucca Valley High School Trojan football team will host the Palo Verde High School Yellowjackets from Blythe. Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
Also today, the Wildcat cross-country team will participate in the Hi-Desert Classic, starting at 4:30 p.m.
In high school sports tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School Wildcat football team will travel away to play the Big Bear Bears. Game time is 1:30 p.m.
