The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team put together a solid team effort and came away with a 61-37 win over Coachella Valley High School last night in Trojan Gym. Coach Jess Geeson said junior Savannah Beasley continued her strong play, scoring 14 points and dishing out nine assists. Junior Zena Yakimow came off the bench to net 12 points and pull down eight rebounds. Junior Kloee Scaccionoce added 10 points. The win moved the girls’ De Anza league record to 5-1 and overall record to 15-6 with a home game against Twentynine Palms scheduled for next Tuesday at 6 p.m.
