The Twentynine palms High School boys’ basketball team traveled to Desert Hot Springs Thursday night to take on the Eagles in a De Anza league showdown. The ’Cats were victorious with a 100-62 score. Coach TJ Stanford said their next matchup is against Ayala in the Palm Springs Showcase Saturday at 3:30. This latest win brings the cats record to 17-1 overall and 4-0 in league.
Leading the Cats was Abraham Bell with 27 points and 12 rebounds. D Shaun Barrett had 23 points and 8 assists. Javier Soriano contributed with 18 points and five rebounds. Adam Bell had 13 points and 15 rebounds.

Twentynine Palms girls’ basketball won their game over Desert Hot Springs 72 to 26. Coach Tim Stanford said they are now 4 and 0 in league and 17 and 2 overall.
Lindsey Scamman had 19 points. Destiny Dedmon had 11 points. Tatiyanna Mackall and Victoria Pacheco had 10 points
 
The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team traveled to Desert Mirage High School in Thermal last night and came home with a 70-30 De Anza league win. Coach Jess Geeson said the team raised their De Anza league mark to 3-1 and overall record to 13-6. 
The Yucca girls jumped out to a 35-13 halftime lead and cruised to their second straight big win. Senior Taylor Spitz and junior Kiley Pitts each scored 14 points, while junior Hannah Hovious added 13 points and junior Savannah Beasley netted 10 points
 
The Lady Wildcats soccer team traveled to Coachella Valley High School Tuesday evening, resulting in a 5-1 loss for junior varsity and a 4-0 loss for the varsity team.
Varsity worked together to battle against the top-ranked Arabs all evening. Sophomore goalkeeper Alexis Soster, who leads the De Anza League in saves, contributed 19 more to bring her season total to 134. Junior goalkeeper Alexis Anaya had 21 saves for junior varsity. Freshman forward Anahi Romo scored a second half goal to put the Wildcats on the board. Girls’ soccer hosts Desert Hot Springs at home Thursday.

The Yucca Valley Trojan varsity wrestling team defeated Desert Hot Springs 63-18 Wednesday night.  
Trevor Scott, Andrew Reyes, Julian Henretty, Gary Koger, Kian Koedel, Christian Barnes and Fernanda Macias are all returning letter earning seniors.
