The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ basketball team defeated the Coachella Valley Arabs Tuesday night 72-39. Coach T.J. Stanford said this brings the ’Cats record to 16-1 overall and 3-0 in league.

Adam Bell had 24 points, D’Shaun Barrett had 18 points, and Abraham Bell had 15 points.

The Twentynine Palms girls’ basketball team is currently 16 and 2 overall and 3 and 0 in league, after winning their game Tuesday at Coachella Valley 87-58.

Lindsey Scamman had 36 points, Destiny Dedmon had 21 points, and Makya Bullion had 13 points, including three 3-pointers.

The Twentynine Palms Wildcat boys’ soccer teams hosted the Arabs of Coachella Valley at home Tuesday night. The varsity Wildcats played a tight game and came away with a 2-1 loss.

Senior Sam Eggers scored in the first half to equalize the score until late in the first half. Goalkeeper KJ Magwood led the Cats with a strong performance, saving 10 shots on goal.

The JV soccer Wildcats lost a close game 2-1.

Coming up in high school sports today, the Yucca Valley boys’ and girls’ basketball teams, and boys’ and girls’ soccer teams will play Desert Mirage High School. The boys’ teams will play at home; soccer starts at 5 p.m. and basketball starts at 6 p.m. The girls will travel away to Thermal. Soccer starts at 5 p.m. and basketball starts at 6 p.m.

The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ and girls’ soccer and basketball teams will play Desert Hot Springs High School. Both basketball games and the boys’ soccer game will be played in Desert Hot Springs. Soccer starts at 5 p.m., girls’ basketball at 6, and boys’ basketball at 7:30. The girls’ soccer game will be played in Twentynine Palms and starts at 5 p.m.

The Joshua Springs Lightning boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will host Bloomington Christian School at home. The girls start at 5 p.m., boys start at 6:30.
