HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL IN HOME CIF PLAYOFFS THIS WEEK

CIF Playoffs begin tomorrow with home games for boys’ and girls’ basketball.  

The Twentynine Palms boys’ basketball will host La Quinta High School in the first round of the 2020 CIF-Southern Section 4AA basketball play-offs Wednesday. The game starts at 7 p.m. in the gym. The Wildcats are 16-12 overall, 12-2 in league. The La Quinta Blackhawks are 16-10 overall; 4-6 in league play. 

The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan basketball team will open the CIF Division 3A playoffs at home when they host the Temple City Rams Thursday night (February 13) in Trojan Gym. The first round playoff game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

The Lady Trojans, were seeded #4 in the playoff bracket. The Lady Trojans finished their season 24-4 overall and 14-0 in Desert Valley League play.

Temple City finished the season in third place in the Rio Hondo League with an overall record of 7-15 and a 4-4 league record.

The Twentynine Palms High School LadyCats will host the Cabrillo Conquistadors at home Thursday, starting at 6 p.m. The LadyCats finished the season with a 20-8 overall record and 12-2 in league. Cabrillo is 14-11 overall and 6-4 in league play.

Ticket prices for the games, set by CIF, are $10 for general admission; $5 for high school students with current high school ID and children.
