Known collectively as the High Holy Days, religious services for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and for Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, will be held at Mission Lakes Country Club in Desert Hot Springs. Sponsored by The Jewish Federation of Palm Springs and Desert Area admission is free to Jewish residents of the Morongo Basin and Desert Hot Springs and includes services for Rosh Hashanah on September 9 and 10, and beginning September 18, Yom Kippur services with a break-the-fast meal, and a Memorial Yizkor and concluding service to honor departed family on September 19.
