An outdoor concert will be held under the stars in order to provide funding for Joshua Tree National Park’s Astronomy Outreach Program.
The event, called the Beneath The Desert Sky Concert, has been a semi-frequent event, and this year’s concert is happening on Saturday (October 15) from beginning at 4 p.m. at the outdoor area at Tortoise Rock Casino. The music will be curated by David Catching of Rancho de la Luna Studio, and feature C’est Claire, Alain Johannes, Belief, and the Mojave Lords with special guests Peter Buck and Scott Reeder. Money raised from this event will allow Park Rangers to invest in technology that will help provide astronomy education.
