HI-DESERT WATER TO HONOR VOLUNTEER, MAKE PROJECT ADJUSTMENTS

Among the items on tonight’s agenda of the Hi-Desert Water District, the board will recognize Bill Horne of Yucca Valley, who has served the district since 1996 in various volunteer roles. Next, the board will be asked to amend an agreement with an engineering firm to develop a $74,000 plan that will connect homes and businesses to the sewer lines under construction. The board will also discuss extending the water main line at Balsa Avenue and Santa Barbara, for a cost of $61,000. The water district will also award a contract to begin monitoring groundwater wells before the construction of the waste water facility is completed. Tonight’s meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in district offices at Inca Trail and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley.
