HI-DESERT WATER TO CONSIDER BUYING RADIO-READ METERS TONIGHT

Among the items on tonight’s agenda of the Hi-Desert Water District board of directors, the directors will be asked to approve a purchase of 1000 radio-read meters for $205,000. These meters will replace meters in Phase 1 when the sewer lines are installed. The board will then be asked to approve new job descriptions for several positions at the water district. Board members will also hear a presentation about the water district’s options for recharging area water basins using treated effluent from the wastewater reclamation facility. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in district offices at Inca Trail and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley.
