Among the items on tonight’s meeting of the Hi-Desert Water District board of directors, the directors will be asked to approve a $774,000 contract for capital improvements to the Palomar booster station which serves the Alta Loma reservoir. Another contract under consideration is $67,000 to Horizon Tree Transplanting for moving Joshua trees, yuccas, and cactus that are in in the way of the sewer easements in Phase 1, Package C, Area 1, and then moving them back after the construction is completed. The board will also hear a mid-year budget review, and be asked to approve an organizational assessment and alignment plan. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in district offices at Inca Trail and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley.
