The Hi-Desert Water District announced that they will be re-opening its lobby to the public under a set of protective measures. Reporter Joshua King has the details…
The Hi-Desert Water District is offering walk-in access at its customer service desk, but other district departments must be met through appointment. Staff recommends that all who enter the building wear a cloth mask for the safety of all. There will also be a maximum of two patrons in the lobby at a time, and blue markers will indicate social distancing guidelines. Hand sanitizers will be available at the desks, and restrooms will be closed to the public. The district will only accept exact change, checks, and credit cards as payment.
Customers are encouraged to still communicate with the district remotely, if possible. You can make water payments online at www.hdwd.com, by calling 760-365-8333, dropped off in a drive-thru drop box located in the parking lot at the district administration office located at 55439 29 Palms Highway or at the district’s OWS office located at 6955 Old Woman Springs Road, or mailed to PO Box 80312 City of Industry, CA 91716. For all other services, contact the district to obtain assistance.
