The board’s first point of order was to appoint a new board member to fill the vacancy left by Dan Munsey. Applicants were given three minutes to present their case for the vacancy. After all had presented, Jim Byerrum was selected for the position and sworn in immediately. Byerrum, the current President of CalMutuals JPRIMA and California Domestic Water Company/Cadway Inc., has over three decades of experience in the field of water management. The board then discussed the FMLA Leave Expansion and Emergency Paid Sick Leave Policy, which was approved unanimously.
