The Hi-Desert Water District board of directors will be asked to award three contracts at its meeting tonight. The first contract is for the construction of the sewer project’s collection system, in the amount of $28.34 million. The second contract is for engineering services during construction, for nearly $700,000 dollars, and the third contract is for survey services during Phase 1 of the sewer project, for $308,000. The board will go into closed session to discuss anticipated litigation and to conference with property negotiators for five properties. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the district’s board room at Inca Trail and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley.
