Last night’s meeting of the Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors started with a closed session with the district’s attorney on anticipated litigation that resulted in no reportable actions. The board members authorized an agreement with Stream Kim Hicks Wrage & Alfaro, PC to provide legal support for anticipated litigation for $490 per hour. They also approved a contract with Aqua Operations Inc., hiring Mike Popichak as consulting general manager for $75,092.58 for three months. Tony Culver will remain as interim general manager for at least the next three months.
