At last night’s meeting of the Hi-Desert Water District Board, Directors authorized $35,000 for updating the engineer’s report. Also, the Board approved the nomination of Kathy Tiegs for Vice-President for the Association of California Water Agencies. Turning to District policy, the board weighed in on a policy for borrowing from one district fund to another with interest and for a specific purpose. In another policy-related issue, the board discussed amending current insurance requirements in order to be consistent with recommendations for construction contracts established by the Association of California Water Agencies Joint Powers Insurance Authority.
