HI-DESERT WATER DISTRICT MEETS, PURCHASE OF BIGHORN WATER ON THE AGENDA

Among the items on tonight’s agenda for the Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors, the directors will receive a report on the district’s hazard mitigation plan, and nominate a member to the Local Agency Formation Commission. The directors will also be asked to authorize a bridge loan of $800,000 to the Wastewater fund from the water fund and authorize the purchase of up to 810 acre feet of water from Bighorn Desert View Water Agency. The board will then receive a presentation on the water system master plan, and be asked to authorize the purchase of two 1 ½ ton trucks for almost $95,000. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in district offices at Inca Trail and the Highway in Yucca Valley.
