Among the items on the agenda for tonight’s meeting of the Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors, the board will hear a report on a disaster mitigation plan to protect facilities from fire and ensure that water service continues during power outages. The directors will also be asked to authorize an application for a grant for hazard mitigation funding. Then the board will be asked to select a company to provide soils testing related to the construction of the wastewater reclamation project. And finally, the directors will be asked to approve a staffing plan for the wastewater treatment facility. Tonight’s meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in district offices at Inca Trail and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley.
