Phase 1 of the Yucca Valley sewer project includes most of Yucca Valley along Highway 62. The project started on the east end of town, closest to the new wastewater treatment facility, and is moving west. At tonight’s meeting of the Hi-Desert Water District, the board of directors will be asked to approve a contract for $32 million for Package D of Phase 1, which includes the west end of town. The board will also be asked to approve a contract for $267,000 for survey services for the pipeline in Package D of Phase 1. Tonight’s meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the district office at Inca Trail and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley.
