HI-DESERT WATER DISTRICT CUTS RIBBON FOR WELL

The Hi-Desert Water District held a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday for its 12th well. Known as Well 20 West, the well is 944 feet deep, and can produce 900 gallons of water per minute; all 12 of the water district’s wells combined can deliver up to 1.3 million gallons of water per day to water customers. In addition, the well’s design allows for displaced water to be redirected to a recharge pond. Well 20 West is located just east of Pioneertown Road and south of Sunnyslope Drive.
